Mathieu joined the BPA team in 2019 after completing his articling there.

Mathieu advises and represents various industry stakeholders, including developers, contractors, and material suppliers.
In this capacity, he regularly pleads before Quebec’s civil courts, both at the trial and appellate levels. He also represents clients before administrative and arbitration tribunals.
Alongside his practice, Mathieu serves as a trainer for future entrepreneurs seeking to obtain a license issued by the Régie du bâtiment du Québec.
Mathieu is distinguished by his diligence, availability, and the human-centered approach that defines his practice.

Since 2006, Jean-Raymond has been practicing exclusively in construction law in private practice. His work allows him to advise and represent clients before the courts, including general and specialized contractors, project owners, individuals, and administrators of warranty plans. His experience in construction law led him to serve as the Director of the Legal Department at Qualité Habitation from 2013 to 2015.
He also acts as a speaker on various topics related to construction law, such as obligations under the Civil Code, suretyships, costs for delays, contractor liability, interpretation of CCDC contracts, regulations on warranty plans for developers and general contractors, as well as the legal training required to obtain a contractor’s license from the RBQ for members of regional ACQs.
His pragmatic approach and ability to make legal concepts accessible to his clients enable him to build strong relationships of trust.
