Having joined the Bélanger Paradis team in August 2025 to complete his professional internship, Daniel is now pursuing his career as a lawyer with the firm. Working out of our Boucherville office, his practice focused primarily on construction law, real estate law, and commercial litigation. He supports a diverse clientele, consisting mainly of contractors and developers, as well as individuals.

Within the scope of his mandates, he actively participates in developing litigation strategies and represents our clients’ interests before the courts.

Mathieu joined the BPA team in 2019 after completing his articling there.

He practices civil litigation, primarily in construction law. Having worked in the construction industry for several years before pursuing his legal studies, his interest in this field developed naturally.

Mathieu advises and represents various industry stakeholders, including developers, contractors, and material suppliers.

In this capacity, he regularly pleads before Quebec’s civil courts, both at the trial and appellate levels. He also represents clients before administrative and arbitration tribunals.

Alongside his practice, Mathieu serves as a trainer for future entrepreneurs seeking to obtain a license issued by the Régie du bâtiment du Québec.

Mathieu is distinguished by his diligence, availability, and the human-centered approach that defines his practice.

Since 2006, Jean-Raymond has been practicing exclusively in construction law in private practice. His work allows him to advise and represent clients before the courts, including general and specialized contractors, project owners, individuals, and administrators of warranty plans. His experience in construction law led him to serve as the Director of the Legal Department at Qualité Habitation from 2013 to 2015.

He also acts as a speaker on various topics related to construction law, such as obligations under the Civil Code, suretyships, costs for delays, contractor liability, interpretation of CCDC contracts, regulations on warranty plans for developers and general contractors, as well as the legal training required to obtain a contractor’s license from the RBQ for members of regional ACQs.

His pragmatic approach and ability to make legal concepts accessible to his clients enable him to build strong relationships of trust.
